This tiny pot features a hand formed porcelain butterfly hanging within the bowl. 

This piece is hand sculpted from porcelain.  In most cases the porcelain is very thin, this makes it fragile and beautiful.  The difficulty involved in creating this sort of piece is much higher than that of most pottery pieces.  Before firing it is incredibly fragile.  It was hand painted with underglazes to create a unique sculptural experience.  It was fired in an electric kiln to over 2000F glazed and fired again.
